As early as you can, honestly. I take only a small number of weddings each year, so every couple gets my full attention, and dates in peak season go first. That said, if you're reading this close to your day, always ask as sometimes the timing just works.
-
The main one is the Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM). By law it has to be lodged with me at least one calendar month before your wedding (and it stays valid for up to eighteen months), so the sooner we get it signed, the sooner we can relax and plan the fun parts. I'll walk you through every step of the legal process - this is the part couples worry about most, and the part I make effortless.

For each of you: either your original birth certificate plus photo ID (e.g., driver's licence), or simply your passport (which covers both). If either of you has been married before, I'll also need your divorce certificate or, if you've been widowed, the death certificate of your former spouse. That's it!

Yes — two, both over eighteen on the day itself. They can be anyone you like: bridal party, family, friends. I'll look after them on the day so they know exactly what to do.
If you’re eloping, I can help provide witnesses.

I'm based in Point Lonsdale and marry couples right across the Bellarine Peninsula — Barwon Heads, Ocean Grove, Queenscliff — as well as Geelong, the Surf Coast, Wye River and along the Great Ocean Road. I've celebrated at venues like Jack Rabbit, Mt Duneed Estate, Wye Beach Hotel, At the Heads and Barwon Edge, and I'm always happy to travel a little further for the right wedding.

Three, really: a full wedding ceremony, an elopement for you and up to twenty guests, and a legals-only ceremony — just you, your two witnesses and a few quiet minutes of I-Dos.
-
Absolutely, as much or as little as you'd like. Some couples want help literally writing their vows; others just want a nudge and a deadline. However you feel approaching writing your vows, I’m there to help. And, when you book me, you receive a planning pack including a step by step process to guide you through writing your vows.
-
More than okay, so many couples feel this way. Feeling calm and at ease is what couples tell me again and again on and after their day: that they were dreading this part, and it ended up being their favourite. I've got you.

My wedding ceremonies start from $1,800, elopements from $900, and legals-only from $500. Every couple is a little different, so the best next step is a quick chat where I can give you a clear answer for your day.
-
We start with a relaxed video call to make sure we're the right fit. From there I guide you through the paperwork, get to know your story properly, and write and refine your ceremony with you — so by the time your day arrives, you can simply enjoy it.
-
Absolutely (as long as you’re both consenting - see my legal obligations!). Whoever you love, wherever you come from - you're welcome here, and I'd be honoured to be part of your day.
I’d love to meet you.
The best answers come from a real conversation. If your question isn't here or you simply want to know whether we're the right fit, let's find a time to talk.
Just a relaxed video call, no pressure at all.
