MY STORY

Looking for a stress-free, personal and uplifting wedding ceremony experience?

You're in the right place.

I'm Chloe Elliot, and my priority is for you to feel relaxed, present (and excited!) on your wedding day, and throughout your planning.

I came to celebrancy after fifteen years in events, in the wake of losing my Dad. Grief has a way of clarifying things, and what I found myself wanting was work rooted in the realities of life, specifically in the moments where people are most honestly connected. A wedding ceremony is exactly that moment, and it's the privilege of my work to stand in it with you.

The couples I marry tell me the same things: that I took the time to really know them, and that their ceremony sounded like them and no one else. That it was warm, joyful and uplifting, never stuffy, never over the top. That their guests stayed connected and engaged. And that from the very first video call, they felt calm, reassured and completely at ease.

Alongside celebrancy, I'm the director of Ivory Tribe, where I spend my days creating meaningful wedding content, chatting to incredible wedding vendors and, happily, losing hours scrolling real wedding galleries — which means I come to your day genuinely steeped in the wedding world, and across the details that make one sing.

Closer to home, there's Stu, my husband; Ellie, my daughter; and Pippa, our dog, whom I regularly interrogate about what makes a perfect union (her answer: beach zoomies, always). You'll find us tucked away in Point Lonsdale, where I read more books than is strictly reasonable and try not to be too smug about my regular yoga practice (insufferable!).

I also studied art history, and remain devoted to modern and contemporary art and cultural studies. So much so that I seriously considered writing my honours thesis on the Kardashians (?!). I like to think that the same eye I bring to art, I bring to your ceremony: an appreciation for detail, for story, and for the things that elevate a moment.

I accept only a small number of weddings each year, so that every couple has my full attention and care, leading in and on the day itself.

Ready to experience an incredible ceremony?

“Chloe did such an amazing job as our celebrant! She made us feel so relaxed during the whole process. The ceremony was the part of our wedding we thought would make us nervous but Chloe instantly put us at ease and was so much fun that she had us and our guests laughing and really enjoying ourselves - whilst still capturing sentimental moments without making them cheesy! It ended up being one of the absolute highlights of the day.
We really appreciated her sense of humour and making our ceremony very authentic and true to us. We had so many guests comment about how much they loved our ceremony.
We couldn’t have asked for a better celebrant - she was incredible! We would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to have a relaxed day full of laughter and authentic to yourselves as a couple.”
